Time is Relative

Hello. Is it me you're looking for?

This week went by crazy fast, so this will probably be a bit of a shorter one.

Starting off on a bummer, our investigator's baptism is postponed for a bit. He's still super into everything, but he has some life stuff to work out before that can happen. It could be awhile, so I'll keep y'all posted.

We found a superbowl ring at CAM on Tuesday. We aren't sure if it's real, but it said it was from the 1994 cowboys. Unfortunately before we could take a picture or do anything, one of the people working there took it and said she was taking it to the higher ups. So no Ebay money for us.

We have a new Elder in the District! His name is Elder Oh and he's been out five months. There's actually a video about him and his family on the Gospel media app called "family is one big experiment" or something like that. He's great, and he's a magician! He even had a show in Vegas before his mission, so he's pretty good.

I'm having trouble thinking of much more that's significant. One of our Elders may have just broken his ankle about an hour before writing this, so I'll keep you posted how he's doing next week. 

It was a good week, I had a great exchange with Elder Owens and it's just been positive. I'll try to be less boring next week.

Dear fellow Americans (and others),     Houston Temple I am finally in Texas, and it's been an interesting few days. The first day was just orientation, which was super slow, because we basically just went over everything we talked about in the MTC, so it was nothing really new. Then the next day I met my trainer/companion, Elder Lindsay. He's super cool and it's his first time training, so we're learning together basically. We're in the Northpointe area, which actually covers the Northpointe and Telge wards, so we go to both on Sundays. We have one of the biggest areas in the zone, but somehow we're the ones on bikes. When it's not 90% humidity and 97 degrees out, biking is actually kind of nice, but alas, we're in Houston, so we barely get that relaxed weather. On the first day we were planning on biking to the other side of the area and committing a whole family to Baptism, which was super intimidating for a first day, but the plans fell through...

Hey there Delilah,  What's it like in New York City? But seriously, is anything new happening in NYC? I haven't been for awhile and I know quite few of y'all live around there, so don't leave me hanging. Anyways, this week was good! We were very busy with lessons and meetings, so I've got a good amount to share this week. As Newton's third law teaches us, every action has an equal but opposite reaction, which describes a lot of this week. I mean that in the best way, because everything pretty much balanced itself out. For example: We taught a lesson with a couple and it went well! We had a really good discussion on different interpretations of scripture and how we can use words of Prophets to help us understand. The equal and opposite reaction, however, was that we learned at the end of the lesson that the husband was leaving town and wasn't going to be back until the end of October!
